Passport Services

The U.S. Department of State has authorized the Hillsborough County Clerk of the Circuit Court to be a passport acceptance agency.  The application, identification, required documentation, and fees are collected and forwarded to the regional office of the Department of State, who will issue the passport.  Most Clerk locations require appointments. Request a Passport Appointment.  The Clerk's office does not process passport renewals for adults.  The U.S. Department of State's website can help with passport renewals.

What method of payment is required?

Two forms of payment are required:

1. Payment of $25 (Passport Acceptance Fee) to the Clerk of the Circuit Court can be made by cash, check, money order, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover - 3.5% service fee charged.

2. Payment to the U.S. Department of State must be made by check or money order only.
