CLERK OF COURT & COMPTROLLER

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FLORIDA

Felon Voter Rights Restoration

2018 Constitutional Amendment 4 (effective January 8, 2019) restores the voting rights of Floridians with felony convictions after they complete all terms of their sentence, including parole or probation. The amendment does not apply to those convicted of murder or sexual offenses who would continue to be permanently barred from voting unless the Governor and Cabinet vote to restore their voting rights on a case by case basis.

If you need details on registering to vote, please contact your local Supervisor of Elections Office.

The Hillsborough County Clerk of Court provides online access to search Hillsborough County court records as far back as approximately 1988. If your case was filed in or prior to 1988, your records will be contained on microfiche or microfilm located in the Edgecomb Courthouse. You may contact us to search those older records.

If your cases were filed in other Florida counties, please contact the Clerk's Office for that county.
