Hurricane Milton Update: All Clerk and Court Operations will be closed on Tuesday, October 8 and Wednesday, October 9. Court Operations will also be closed on Thursday, October 10. Marriage License Department

The Clerk of the Circuit Court acts as an agent for the State of Florida for issuing licenses per Florida Statute 741. As a public service, our office also performs marriage ceremonies. The Marriage License Department is here to answer your questions concerning obtaining a marriage license in Hillsborough County.

Our Tampa, Brandon, and Plant City locations have Wedding Ceremony spaces available. The Brandon Office can comfortably accommodate 6 guests and the Downtown Tampa and Plant City Offices can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests to celebrate the couple’s special day. Appointments for onsite ceremonies are recommended but walk-ins are welcome.
